Stephen Doster
Stephen has been
playing Ski Shores since the early 1980s. Whether it's with current
Austin star Seth Walker or with Austin singer songwriter heavyweights
like Bill Carter and Leighton Hamilton, Stephen brings to Ski Shores a
storied musical history of Austin music and its musicians.
Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson can
flat play the guitar. A beautiful sound permeates through the valley
when Jeff shows up on the Ski Shores Stage. His music has been
entrancing at times due to his excellence on the guitar. Come and enjoy
for yourself. Jeff and his band might very well be the best act in
Austin.
Will Sexton
Will Sexton plays
on. A local legend raised in the spirit of what is Austin music. Check
out one of his shows and you will see for yourself. The comraderie of
the players. The connection to the audience. Will Sexton is one of the
"real deals" when one speaks of Austin music and its musicians.
"He is one of the youngest members of an Austin music scene that spawned Stevie Ray Vaughn and others. Will Sexton grew up in the company of country crooners, blues guitarists, and folk storytellers. His unorthodux guitar style has led him to alliances with the likes of Johnny Thunders, Ron Wood, and psychedic original Rocky Erickson, to name a few........"
- India Records 2003
Glass Party
Most noted for their
European Music Festival Shows,
Glass Party travels througout the U.S, entertaining families of all
ages.
An uptempo happy sound that is just plain refreshing.
Amy & the Bullets
Amy's voice is what
brings back admiring fans to Ski Shores since
1995. Her back-up musicians are solid and talented in their own right
adding just the right mix of country and soft rock.
Van Wilks
Van Wilks is smooth
as silk. Close your eyes and his talent will
move you. Van has consistently been respected by both his audiences and
his peers as being one of the most innovative and accomplished guitar
players. His shows always inspire me, us, the audience; that hard work
and patience
can really produce some beautiful results. Come enjoy this Austin
phenomena in person. You will be pleased you did.
Karen Mal
Karen's presence on
the Ski Shores stage makes us all happier for
the moment. Her music and her voice will make you happier as
well.
A night on lake well worth enjoying.
Fingerpistol
A talented group of
Austin musicians adding a fuller sound for the admiring fans and
families at Ski Shores.
Red Dawg
Danny Brit, leader
and frontman, is also a Ski Shores Hall of Famer.
If Ed Sullivan still hosted a variety show,
Red Dawg would have been invited to play many times.
Add Glen and Marvin and the sounds that fill the air are just
extraordinary.
Ski Shores believes entertainment is best enjoyed
with fresh food and a cool refreshment. So on a pleasant evening
between April and the end of September bring yourself and your family
to an Austin original--bring them to Ski Shores Waterfront Cafe!
A discreet reminder... These musicians, keeping with the old
tradition of playing for tips only, are never paid to play. So if you
are enjoying the hard work of the entertainers please donate as you see
fit.
